Running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the Mi 1S incorporates a Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon S3 chipset. The dual-core 1.7 GHz Scorpion CPU, complemented by an Adreno 220 GPU, provided solid performance support for tasks and apps back in 2012. It was capable of handling basic operations and some multitasking, but users had to manage with only 1GB of RAM. The phone also included 4GB of internal storage, which could be expanded via a dedicated microSDHC slot, alleviating some storage concerns.
