Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Mi 6 Plus would have boasted significant power with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset. This 10 nm architecture is both powerful and energy-efficient, equipped with an octa-core processor (4x2.45 GHz Kryo & 4x1.9 GHz Kryo) and an Adreno 540 GPU. Such specs suggest the phone would easily handle demanding applications and multitasking, a feature especially useful for power users.
The phone was set to run on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) skinned with Xiaomi's MIUI 8. This combination promised users a highly customizable interface albeit based on an older version of Android. It’s possible that an update to a newer version of the operating system could have been expected post-launch.
