One of the most notable aspects of the Mi 9 Explorer is its design. Xiaomi has chosen to highlight the phone's hardware with a transparent back, which gives a visual of what seems to be its internal components, housed elegantly within a Gorilla Glass 5 casing. Coupled with the aluminum frame made from the 7000 series, the phone manages a sleek and modern aesthetic. With dimensions measuring 157.5 x 74.7 x 7.6 mm and weighing 173 grams, it feels solid in hand without being cumbersome.
The device features a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED display with HDR10 support, offering vibrant colors and deep contrasts. With a high screen-to-body ratio of approximately 85.2% and a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels (~403 ppi), the display is immersive, catering well to multimedia consumption, gaming, and daily use. Protection-wise, it is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 6, which adds durability against scratches and drops.
