Performance and Software
The performance is powered by the Mediatek Helio G25 chipset, which is paired with an octa-core CPU consisting of a combination of 2.0 GHz and 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 cores. The PowerVR GE8320 GPU handles graphic tasks. With 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, the Redmi 9AT is sufficient for basic tasks and light gaming, but demanding applications or multitasking could push these limits. Storage expansion is possible via a dedicated microSD slot, providing much-needed flexibility.
The phone runs on Android 10 with Xiaomi's MIUI 12 overlay, which includes a variety of customization options and features, enhancing user experience beyond the stock Android experience. However, the limited RAM might cause occasional lag, particularly as more updates are released and applications become more demanding.
