Under the hood, the Redmi 9i is powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 chipset, built on a 12 nm process. Its octa-core CPU configuration, consisting of four high-performance Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and four power-efficient Cortex-A53 cores at 1.5 GHz, provides a balance between performance and efficiency. Paired with the PowerVR GE8320 GPU, the device can handle everyday tasks smoothly. However, it's not designed for heavy multitasking or intense gaming. The phone runs on Android 10, layered with MIUI 12, which is intuitive but may include some pre-installed bloatware.
