Powered by the MediaTek MT6592M chipset, the XOLO Omega 5.5 houses an octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and Mali-450MP4 GPU. These specifications provided adequate performance for day-to-day tasks and light gaming when it was released. However, with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via a microSDHC slot), its multitasking capabilities and storage space were quite limited, requiring users to frequently manage app installation and data storage.
Running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the device delivered a user-friendly experience catered to the general expectations of that period. Over time, as applications evolved and required more powerful hardware and newer Android versions, the Omega 5.5's older software might have become a limiting factor for users seeking access to modern apps and features.
