Hardware and Performance
Operating on Android 2.2 Froyo, the ZTE Amigo delivered a basic yet functional smartphone experience. Froyo was a pioneering Android OS, introducing features such as USB tethering and app storage on microSD cards. This phone supports expandable storage via a dedicated microSD card slot, which was crucial given the limited internal memory of early smartphones.
Performance-wise, the device supported HSPA with speeds up to 7.2 Mbps for data transfer, which was considered reasonably fast during its launch period. The processing capability was adequate for running basic applications, though multitasking and more demanding apps could push it to its limits quickly.
