Powered by a Qualcomm MSM7227 Snapdragon S1 chipset, a 600 MHz ARM 11 CPU, and an Adreno 200 GPU, the ZTE Blade delivers entry-level performance. It originally ran on Android 2.1 Eclair, with an option to upgrade to Android 2.2 Froyo. Although basic by today's standards, this combination offered smooth usability for everyday tasks like browsing the internet or using simple apps. The Blade comes with 512MB of RAM and 512MB of internal storage, enough for basic applications, with the ability to expand via a microSDHC card, a 2GB card being included with the device.
