Under the hood, the ZTE Grand Xmax is powered by the Qualcomm MSM8212 Snapdragon 200 chipset, featuring a quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and an Adreno 302 GPU. Combined with 1GB of RAM, the phone provides just enough power to manage simple multitasking and standard applications. However, its performance significantly lags with graphically intensive games or heavy multitasking, which is expected given the entry-level Snapdragon 200's limitations. The device runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, an older operating system that restricts access to the latest apps and updates.
