Fitted with a 3.2-inch TFT resistive touchscreen, the ZTE N290 offers a basic visual experience. The display can produce up to 256K colors, providing adequate visual variety for the time of its release. However, the resistive touchscreen technology means users might find the touch sensitivity less responsive compared to today's capacitive touchscreens. Its resolution, at 240 x 400 pixels, delivers about 146 pixels per inch, which was modest even for 2010, resulting in visible pixelation on close inspection.
