The ZTE R230 is compact and lightweight, with dimensions of 108 x 46 x 13 mm and a modest weight of 80 grams. Its build is basic, featuring a Mini-SIM design suited for users who preferred simplicity over the growing complexity of smartphones. The tactile buttons on the device would have appealed to those comfortable with traditional alphanumeric keypads, which were prevalent in the era before touchscreens became ubiquitous.
