What’s new in ACDSee Photo Manager 2009
Organize, find, and share with ease
Organize up front
With the new Import Photos feature, set categories, keywords, ratings, and create backups as you pull images in from your camera or other storage device. When your import is complete, your files are already organized and ready for you to browse and share!
Save time with Saved Searches
Use ACDSee 2009’s Search Pane to build complicated searches based on folder name, file name, location, and metadata. Now, save time by storing your searches for future use with the simple Saved Searches feature and re-run a saved search in one click from the Organize pane.
Share photos worldwide
Easily share your categories, keywords, and ratings with other ACDSee users by embedding them in your image’s XMP fields. Flexibly move images around your system and between computers. You can even embed information in file formats that don’t support metadata from cameras, including PNG and GIF.
Greater Editing Flexibility
Keep your originals
Get creative with your photos without worrying about changing the original. ACDSee 2009 now saves a copy of your original image the first time you edit a file. Restore your original at any time, even after multiple editing sessions.
Frame your photos
Add a finishing touch to your photo with a custom border, drop shadow, or edge effect.
Improved Usability
Show off your photos
Try the new and improved Auto Slide Show feature, now including options to add Pan & Zoom, Black-and-White, and Sepia effects or play your slideshow to MP3s
Set your preferences
Customize ACDSee 2009 with the new and improved Quick Start Guide. Use the Quick Start Guide to set your default start folder, browser display scheme, catalog your files, and import your existing ACDSee database all in one place, or exit it to start using the application right away.
