Under the hood, the Alcatel OT-997D is powered by a Mediatek MT6577 chipset, featuring a dual-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU, coupled with a PowerVR SGX531u GPU. This hardware setup was sufficient for basic tasks and light multitasking in 2012. Running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the phone offers an interface that, while outdated by today’s standards, was intuitive and user-friendly for its time. It comes with 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage, which is quite limited. Fortunately, the inclusion of a microSDHC card slot allows for storage expansion, which would be necessary for heavier users.
