Photography was not the iPad 2's strong suit. It featured a single 0.7 MP rear camera capable of 720p video recording at 30fps, and a front VGA camera. These cameras functioned for basic imagery and video chatting but lacked the clarity and detail that users expect today. At the time, they were reasonable for the occasional snap or FaceTime call.
