Display and Performance
The Fonepad's display, though not cutting-edge, was functional for general tasks one would expect from such a hybrid device. With its 7-inch size and IPS LCD technology, it delivered consistent color reproduction and decent viewing angles, making it appropriate for reading, streaming, and casual gaming. Performance-wise, the Fonepad housed an Intel Atom Z2420 or Z2460 chipset, which was somewhat unconventional as most of its contemporaries in the mobile market leaned towards ARM architectures. Its CPU clocked at either 1.2 GHz or 1.6 GHz, coupled with a PowerVR SGX540 GPU and 1GB RAM, placed it in the entry-to-mid-level performance bracket at the time of its release. It could handle basic multitasking and app usage reasonably well, although more demanding tasks might introduce lag or slowdowns.
