Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the Fonepad offered the user experience and UI features typical of early Android tablets. This included enhanced widget capabilities, a more fluid touch-response, and other Jelly Bean improvements that were relatively fresh to the market. Though intuitive, users might find limitations with newer app demands due to the software's age and specifications. In terms of connectivity, the Fonepad supported 3G HSPA speeds up to 21.1 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, and GPS with GLONASS. Though it lacked NFC and a radio, the inclusion of a 3.5mm jack preserved more traditional audio connectivity.
