Performance and Software
Powered by the Intel Atom Z2520 chipset with a dual-core 1.2 GHz CPU and PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU, the Zenfone 5 was not designed for heavy multitasking or gaming but was capable of handling everyday tasks such as social media, messaging, and web browsing with reasonable fluidity. The device originally launched with Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) and was upgradable to Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop), which brought improved performance and features like a refreshed user interface and better notifications management to the user.
