Internally, the BenQ A500 offers 20MB of storage, which was ample for storing contacts (up to 500 with photo call capabilities), messages, and ringtones. However, the absence of a card slot means there is no option for expanding memory, a significant limitation if you intend to download large numbers of additional games or other content. The phone supports up to 1000 short messages, allowing substantial SMS storage for frequent texters.
The removable Li-Ion 700 mAh battery provides up to 180 hours of standby time and up to 3 hours of talk time. While these numbers reflect moderate usage, power users might find themselves needing to charge the device more frequently.
