Operating System and Performance
Running Symbian 7.0 with a UIQ v2.1 interface, the BenQ P31 uses the TI OMAP V1030 chipset coupled with a 144 MHz CPU. This combination enabled decent multitasking and program responsiveness for its time. However, as the demands for mobile processing power have skyrocketed, this setup is now considered quite rudimentary. The support for external memory via an SD/MMC card slot was a commendable feature, allowing users to expand storage beyond the internal memory limits to accommodate more multimedia content and applications.
