Design and Build
The Ericsson R380 was notable for its distinctive design, with dimensions measuring 130 x 50 x 26 mm and weighing 164 grams. This made it somewhat bulky by today’s standards, but it was in line with the design conventions of the early 2000s. The phone featured a unique form factor with a monochrome resistive touchscreen that was partly covered by a flip. The flip mechanism was designed to protect the screen and provided quick access to the keypad, adding a tactile element to interaction with the device. Overall, its robust construction and flip cover were appreciated for their practicality.
