In terms of network capability, the R600 operates on GSM 900/1800 2G bands, which were widely used across Europe and other parts of the world at the time. It supports GPRS, enabling basic internet connectivity using the WAP 1.2.1 browser for on-the-go browsing, a precursor to the full-fledged mobile internet experiences we have today. Notably absent are modern conveniences like Bluetooth, WLAN, and GPS, reflecting the technological limitations of the period.
The phone lacks many features we take for granted today, such as a camera, loudspeaker, and headphone jack. Despite these absences, it excels in providing reliable communication through voice calls and messaging, with the added charm of downloadable monophonic ringtones and a composer for creating personalized tones.
