Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Honor 8 was powered by the Kirin 950 chipset, with an octa-core CPU configuration (4x2.3 GHz Cortex-A72 & 4x1.8 GHz Cortex-A53) and Mali-T880 MP4 GPU, providing powerful performance for its class. With Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgradable to Android 8.0 Oreo through EMUI 8, users could enjoy a relatively modern software experience with enhancements in performance and features. The phone came in variants offering 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, both coupled with 4GB of RAM, and allowed for storage expansion via microSD, though this used the second SIM slot in dual-SIM models.
