The HTC Desire is powered by a removable 1400 mAh Li-Ion battery, which provides a standby time of up to 340 hours on 2G and 360 hours on 3G networks. Talk time is around 6 hours and 40 minutes on 2G, slightly reduced to 6 hours and 30 minutes on 3G. While these figures were reasonable at the time, users engaging in heavy usage might find themselves reaching for a charger before the day's end.
