HTC Desire HD Performance

Performance

Powering the HTC Desire HD was the Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon S2 chipset, featuring a 1.0 GHz Scorpion CPU and an Adreno 205 GPU. While this hardware combination was quite capable at launch, it quickly became obsolete as more powerful chipsets were introduced. The phone carried 768MB of RAM and 1.5GB of internal storage, expandable via microSDHC, which was essential given the limited onboard storage. Running Android 2.2 Froyo, upgradeable to 2.3 Gingerbread, the device offered a reasonably fluid experience, though it was unable to keep pace with later versions of Android beyond Gingerbread.
