Powering the HTC Desire S is a removable Li-Ion 1450 mAh battery. This offered a respectable standby time of up to 430 hours on 2G and up to 455 hours on 3G, along with talk time lasting up to nearly 10 hours on 2G and over 7 hours on 3G. The ability to remove the battery was a distinct advantage, providing users the option to carry a spare for extended periods without access to charging.
