Camera
Photography was not a central focus for smartphones in 2009, but the HTC DROID ERIS came equipped with a single 5 MP autofocus camera. It's capable of capturing decent photos in well-lit settings and can also record video, albeit without the high-definition quality offered by later devices. The notable absence of a front-facing camera means selfies and video conferencing were not feasible, limiting its use for social media and video calls.
