Platform and Performance
Running on Android 1.6 (Donut), the HTC Magic was among the early adopters of the Android operating system, providing users access to Google's gradually expanding app ecosystem. The device's performance was driven by a Qualcomm MSM7200A chipset and a 528 MHz ARM 11 processor, accompanied by an Adreno 130 GPU. This setup allowed for smooth operation of basic applications and navigation, although it lacked the prowess needed for demanding multimedia tasks or high-performance games. With 288MB of RAM and 512MB of internal storage, users often relied on microSD cards to expand storage, which was essential given the limited internal capacity.
