HTC One S Performance and Software

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the HTC One S was powered by the Qualcomm MSM8290 chipset, coupled with a dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait CPU and an Adreno 225 GPU. For its era, this combination provided smooth performance for most tasks, from basic operations to moderate gaming. The phone came with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, albeit without an expansion slot, which might have limited user flexibility regarding storage space. Running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC's Sense UI, it was upgradable to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, which brought improved functionality and design elements that kept it relatively fresh in the early stages of its lifecycle.
