Display
Sporting a 2.8-inch TFT resistive touchscreen with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, the HTC Tattoo's display was modest even by 2009 standards. With a pixel density of around 143 ppi, the screen quality was rather basic, supporting only 65K colors. The resistive nature of the touchscreen required a firm press, in contrast to the capacitive touchscreens that were becoming more popular. This could make navigation and typing slightly cumbersome, albeit sufficient for early smartphone users.
