Performance and Software
Running on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional, the HTC Touch was equipped with a TI OMAP 850 chipset and a 200 MHz ARM926EJ-S CPU. Its hardware architecture provided basic efficiency for running pocket office applications and managing daily tasks, which was adequate for activities of the day. The device came with a microSD card slot for storage expansion (1 GB included) and had two configurations for memory: 64/128MB RAM and 128/256MB ROM. Though these specifications would be considered minimal now, they were sufficient for running Windows Mobile applications effectively at the time.
