Performance and Software
Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the Ascend G526 offered a user experience consistent with the software capabilities of its time. The quad-core 1.2 GHz processor provided sufficient power for basic tasks and light multitasking, but it could lag with more intensive applications. With 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSDHC card slot, storage space would quickly become limited; however, the ability to increase storage was a practical aspect of the design.
