Photography on the Ascend Mate2 4G is handled by a 13 MP rear camera featuring autofocus, LED flash, HDR, and panorama capabilities. Able to record videos at 1080p@30fps, this camera was reasonable for capturing day-to-day memories. On the front, a 5 MP selfie camera provided satisfactory results for video calls and selfies in good lighting. While not exceptional by today's standards, both cameras were competitive for a mid-range device at the time.
