Connectivity and Communication
Commendably, the i-mate JAQ3 supported several connectivity options. Its GSM quad-band functionality ensured that users could roam worldwide. Moreover, it featured Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth 1.2 with A2DP for short-range communication and wireless audio. An infrared port also allowed for data transfer, a popular method before the ubiquity of Bluetooth. However, the absence of GPS and radio functionality was conspicuous, somewhat limiting its utility compared to competitors gradually embracing such features.
