Performance
Underneath its robust exterior, the Meizu M3 Max housed the MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 chipset, which includes an octa-core processor (4x1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4x1.0 GHz Cortex-A53) and Mali-T860MP2 GPU. Coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, the device handled daily tasks quite smoothly, although it was originally optimized for an older version of Android—6.0 Marshmallow, running Meizu’s proprietary Flyme OS 5.2. Applications ran competently, but users pushing the phone into more resource-intensive territory may have felt the limitations of its hardware.
