Performance
At its core, the Surface RT houses an Nvidia Tegra 3 T30 chipset paired with a quad-core Cortex-A9 CPU clocked at 1.3 GHz and a ULP GeForce GPU. This configuration provided adequate performance for the time, primarily excelling in multimedia consumption and basic productivity tasks. Users could choose between 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, supported by 2GB of RAM. The inclusion of a microSDXC card slot meant expanded storage was possible, an important consideration for those requiring more space for files and applications.
