Equipped with a single 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and an LED flash, the Motorola BACKFLIP was able to capture decent images under favorable lighting conditions. However, its video recording was limited to CIF resolution at 30 frames per second, which was a standard capability at its launch. The phone does not feature a front-facing camera, which was commonplace among phones during this period but is a notable omission from a modern perspective.
