Connectivity and Battery
The XT5 facilitates connectivity through Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and EDR, covering basic wireless communication needs. GPS and A-GPS support made location-based services usable, a valuable feature for users who relied on maps and navigation apps. However, it lacks a built-in FM radio, which could have been a drawback for users who enjoyed listening to radio broadcasts on the go.
The smartphone is powered by a removable Li-Po 1270 mAh battery. Although modest by today’s standards, the battery performance was rated to deliver up to 8 hours and 20 minutes of talk time on 2G networks, and up to 6 hours and 30 minutes on 3G, which was considered quite decent then. The fact that the battery was removable offered flexibility for users to carry spare batteries for extended usage.
