Motorola RIZR Z8 Platform and Performance

Platform and Performance

Running on the Symbian 9.2 OS with a UIQ 3.1 interface, the RIZR Z8 was powered by a 300 MHz ARM 1136 processor and a PowerVR MBX GPU. This hardware setup delivered smooth performance for basic tasks and multimedia playback, despite having only 77MB of internal storage. Users could expand their storage through a dedicated microSD slot, which was crucial for storing media files. However, the phone lacked WiFi connectivity, relying on GSM and HSPA technology for network access, with maximum speeds of HSPA 3.6 Mbps, which was standard for 3G networks at the time.
