Powered by a removable 500 mAh NiMH battery, the StarTAC 75 offered about 40 hours of standby time and approximately 2 hours of talk time. This was relatively modest, necessitating regular charging, especially with frequent use. The removable aspect of the battery was beneficial, allowing users to carry spare battery packs if needed.
