Design and Display
The Motorola WX290 exhibited a compact and lightweight build, weighing a mere 83 grams. Its dimensions of 107.6 x 45.3 x 14.3 mm made it extremely portable and comfortable to hold, a stark contrast to the larger smartphones prevalent today. Covered in a classic black casing, the phone boasted a simple, understated aesthetic. The inclusion of a Mini-SIM slot was standard for its time, and the presence of a flashlight was a thoughtful addition for utility in low-light conditions.
Its 1.77-inch TFT display supported 65K colors, providing a visual experience that, while limited by today’s high-definition standards, was typical for a device of its class back then. The screen resolution of 128 x 160 pixels rendered text and simple graphics adequately, though the small size and low pixel density were not conducive for modern media consumption.
