Connectivity and Communication
Designed for early 3G networks, the e616 supported GSM and UMTS bands, capable of speeds up to 384 kbps, a significant improvement over the earlier 2G speeds. The phone does not support WLAN or a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack, but it includes Bluetooth 1.1 for wireless connectivity, which was widely appreciated at the time. It also features a proprietary USB connection method. Although it lacks GPS and radio capabilities, the phone offered various messaging options, including SMS, EMS, MMS, and Email, making it viable for comprehensive communication.
