Memory and Connectivity
With only 4MB of internal storage and no option for external memory expansion, the NEC N820's capacity for storing content was highly limited. However, this storage could accommodate a 500-entry phonebook with multiple fields per contact, offering photo call functionality. Connectivity options were minimal, lacking modern conveniences like Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. It did, however, feature an infrared port, a popular data transfer method at the time. The device supported GSM 900/1800/1900 bands for 2G cellular connectivity, offering class 8 GPRS but no EDGE capabilities.
