O2 XDA Comet Audio and Connectivity

Audio and Connectivity

The device included a loudspeaker and supported various alert types, including vibration and downloadable polyphonic and MP3 ringtones. It lacked a 3.5mm headphone jack, a feature becoming more common at the time, which meant reliance on the loudspeaker or alternative connections for private listening. In terms of connectivity, the Comet supported Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, which was crucial for internet access. Bluetooth 1.2 facilitated wireless file transfers, and although it did not include GPS, it was equipped with an infrared port, which provided another option for data exchange. A miniUSB port offered wired connectivity.
