O2 XDA Comet Display and User Interface

Display and User Interface

Equipped with a 2.7-inch TFT resistive touchscreen, the Comet was capable of displaying 65K colors. While this pales in comparison to modern devices, it was quite standard for its era. The display had a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels with a 4:3 ratio, which resulted in a pixel density of approximately 148 ppi. While not the most vibrant or sharp by today’s measures, it was adequate for the basic tasks it was meant to handle. The screen featured handwriting recognition, a novel feature at the time for input versatility which reflected its inclination towards productivity.
