Performance and Software
Under the hood, the O2 XDA Zinc ran on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 PocketPC, which was popular among business-oriented devices due to its compatibility with Microsoft Office applications through 'Pocket Office'. Powered by an Intel XScale PXA 270 processor clocked at 520 MHz, it provided adequate performance for applications of its time. However, the 64MB of RAM and 128MB ROM positioned it as rather limited for multitasking by current standards, though it supported miniSD cards for additional storage.
