The O2 XM came with limited internal storage of 13.8 MB, a standard size back then primarily intended for saving contacts, short messages, and ringtones. The inclusion of a card slot for MMC/SDIO allowed for expandable storage, accommodating additional media files and applications. Users could store up to 250 phonebook entries, with photcall capability, and the phone recorded recent calls for up to a certain number, adhering to basic utilities of a phone.
