Network and Connectivity
Connectivity-wise, the GD55 supported GSM 2G bands (900 / 1800 / 1900), a standard at the time for ensuring broad network coverage. However, it lacked GPRS and EDGE capabilities, signifying that internet usage was not a priority for this device. The phone also missed out on other modern connectivity features such as WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB, focusing instead on its core function as a communication tool.
