Display and User Interface
The device features a 2.8-inch TFT resistive touchscreen, supporting 256K colors, which was typical for phones of that period. This display had a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels resulting in a modest pixel density of about 143 ppi. While the touch responsiveness wasn’t as smooth as modern-day capacitive screens, it did include handwriting recognition, which was a unique feature at the time, allowing users to jot notes directly onto the screen.
