In terms of features, the Philips C702 was equipped with GPS and A-GPS functionalities, a nice addition for navigation, although practical applicability was limited without mobile data. The messaging capabilities included SMS in a threaded view and MMS, while its Java support (MIDP 2.0) allowed basic downloadable games and applications. The 1080 mAh removable Li-Ion battery offered up to 100 hours of standby and up to 4 hours of talk time, which was decent considering the energy demands of the device.
