The Galaxy S9 Active's camera setup was designed with photography enthusiasts in mind. The main camera offered a single 12 MP sensor with a variable aperture from f/1.5 to f/2.4, which was intended to provide stunning low-light performance and sharp images in various conditions. Features like Dual Pixel phase detection autofocus and optical image stabilization promised to minimize blur and maintain focus. Video enthusiasts would have appreciated the ability to record 4K video at 60fps, as well as engaging slow-motion capabilities at 1080p@240fps and 720p@960fps.
For selfies, the dual 8 MP front camera was aimed at delivering high-quality shots, supported by an f/1.7 aperture and autofocus capabilities. HDR support for both photography and video recording at 1440p@30fps ensured that selfies would look stunning regardless of lighting conditions.
